Outhouse Run 2013
STRUCTURE:
Outhouses must have four (4) walls, a floor, a toilet seat on a raised bench, and a hinged doorway with a crescent moon. Doors must be secured during race. Due to insurance issues, NO RIDERS are allowed inside the outhouse.
Outhouse must be a minimum of nine (9) square feet at its base, and maximum overall width not to exceed six (6) feet including grasping or pushing devices. Minimum height of five (5) feet from the floor to the highest point of the roof is required.
Any number of wheels and any size wheels may be used. Any device for grasping (moving) the outhouse may be used except ropes or like devices. All grasping devices must be solid material.
Outhouse may be built of any solid material, and structurally sound enough not to fall apart during the race.
NO GLASS
Each outhouse must have a “name” and that should be displayed on the structure.  Sponsors names may be applied anywhere on the outside of the outhouse.
At least two (2) people must push, with feet on the ground, the outhouse down the street. All outhouses are human powered by foot to ground. No motors or pedal powered units will be allowed
All outhouses will participate in a pre-race parade and will be on display around the Courthouse Square after the race.

TEAM
A team shall consist of a maximum of five (5) people. At least two must be pushing at all times.
A helmet is strongly recommended for all participants.
No riders allowed. No exceptions.
No axle-type structures (such a bicycle frame)
Teams will dress in “like” apparel. Each team and outhouse should have a theme and dress accordingly.
Each team will participate in the pre race parade.  Teams are encouraged to give autographs to fans.

PRIZES
Awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams determined by fastest race time.
Most Creative Award to most unique outhouse
“Spirit”Award to team that shows the most spirit relating the their theme.

RACE
Races are by elimination run in heats of two (2) at a time
Heat competitors will be determined by number drawing and place in brackets.
Race course is from Ball Furniture alley to North Side Grille alley. One lane on either side of the lane dividers
No deliberate sabotage to another team’s outhouse.
